September 2024 marked an important milestone for the ClinicalModelling project—its first full year since launch. Over these twelve months, the consortium has made impressive strides in transforming medical and nursing education by integrating advanced digital tools and innovative methodologies.

From the initial concept to the implementation phase, the journey has been both challenging and inspiring, driven by a shared commitment to enhance healthcare training across Europe.

Key Achievements of Year One:

  • Reference Book: A comprehensive guide was developed to ensure the ethical and technical standards of the project’s work. This foundational document underpins all activities and reflects the project’s dedication to quality and responsibility.
  • Smart Glasses Manual: The project produced a practical manual for using smart glasses in clinical settings, offering healthcare professionals innovative ways to capture, share, and reflect on clinical procedures (read the full article about this Manual here).
  • Training Toolkits: Two specialised training toolkits were created and made available via the project’s Moodle platform:
  • Video-Modelling Manual: This manual supports healthcare educators in integrating video modelling into their teaching practices, enhancing learner engagement and competence development (read the full article about this Manual here).
  • YouTube Channel Launch: The project established a dedicated YouTube channel featuring a growing collection of informative videos designed to support learning and dissemination of best practices.
  • Scientific Engagement: ClinicalModelling representatives have actively participated in numerous scientific conferences, sharing insights, building networks, and fostering collaborative opportunities.

Looking Forward

The first year’s accomplishments set a strong foundation for the future. The consortium remains committed to deepening the integration of video modelling and digital tools into healthcare education and professional development. The focus will continue on sustainability, broader adoption, and scaling the project’s impact across institutions and countries.
