The ClinicalModelling project is proud to present the Training Toolkit for Teachers, Tutors, and Trainers on Video-Self Modelling and Video-Modelling: Participant’s Handbook. This toolkit is designed specifically for healthcare educators, providing them with a comprehensive set of resources and a structured training plan to effectively integrate video-modelling and video-self modelling into healthcare education. By leveraging these innovative methodologies, educators can create engaging and impactful learning experiences for students and professionals in the field.
Available in digital format on the project’s Moodle platform, the toolkit includes original video material and interactive digital content, all crafted to facilitate an in-depth understanding of video-modelling approaches in educational practice. Formative surveys are also incorporated to reinforce participants’ knowledge, ensuring retention and application of the concepts covered.

A Dual-Component Learning Experience
The training is structured with both online and face-to-face components, providing a flexible and immersive learning journey estimated to require 12 to 15 hours of online study. The asynchronous online stage allows participants to engage in self-directed learning, covering essential themes such as the principles of video-modelling in healthcare education, aligning video content with learning objectives, and designing lessons and case studies to challenge students in real-world scenarios.
Participants also explore the evolving roles of students as active learners, encouraging self-directed learning and empowering students to contribute to their educational outcomes. The asynchronous phase is followed by a synchronous session led by Vuzix Corporation, where participants received expert instruction on the practical use of video technologies, reinforcing the knowledge gained in the initial self-study stage.
Hands-On Training in Santiago de Compostela University
The face-to-face component was hosted at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, in Spain, where participants engaged in three practical sessions focusing on video-modelling techniques, video editing, and platform usage for content management. This hands-on training is designed to bridge theory and practice, allowing educators to apply what they’ve learned in a supportive environment that prepares them for real-world applications.
Building Community and Collaboration in Education
The face-to-face sessions concluded with a networking event, bringing together educators, project management, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and build professional networks. This gathering was an invaluable opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and insights, creating a foundation for the ongoing integration of video-modelling methodologies in healthcare education.
